Studying
Study Break?
As a college senior I am fortunate enough to know the hardships of exam week. Yes it is a very stressful week but do not fret there is ways to make it easier. Holing yourself in your dorm room or your favorite study spot because it is not worth it. Cramming all that information in with no breaks will not help you remember it will actually hinder your study process.
So instead:
- Go for a walk- The refreshing air does wonders for studying especially if it is a beautiful day outside.
- Go have lunch with friends- Friends will relieve the stress and pressures of exams and its a great way to catch up! I personally like to go for picnics because i get the view of the outdoors and still have the company of my friends.
- Just get out- Go see a movie, go bowling, go to the mall, get your nails done, go any where that will get you away from your studies and your mind off things.
- Take a nap- get some sleep if you feel tired your body is telling you that you need it.
The key is to make sure you limit you time away from your studies so that way it is easier to go back. I know once I get away for over an hour I will not go back to studying so know your limits and know what your body needs. Also some people take breaks to go drink with friends this can be a good idea but what typically happens is you lose track of time, drink to much, or lose a ton of sleep all together which hinders your study performance as well.
So know your limits, what you personally need, and study on!
